Introduction Our Experience What We Offer Why B&S Associates?

Our Collective Experience...

All of our Advocates have years of practical experience in their respective disciplines. That collective experience adds up to well over a hundred years in the fields of Workers Compensation and Labour Arbitration. We specialize in complex issues such as occupational disease, chronic pain, hearing loss, stress claims and labour market re-entry. Our Advocates have achieved an enviable record at the appeal level of the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board and at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal. At arbitration our Advocates have resolved issues ranging from discipline/discharge cases to complex duty to accommodate cases.

B&S Associates Union Consulting Services Inc. provides services to a growing number of unions: SEIU, CAW, USW, CUPE, OSSTF, UTU, IBEW, CUPW, LIUNA, CLC Direct Charters and others right across Canada. Our Advocates have successfully concluded cases in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. As demand for our services has increased, we have brought in additional Advocates whose experience we can rely on.

B&S Associates utilize the latest technology and resources in preparing cases. All of our Advocates have full access to Quicklaw, the Brown & Beatty, Medline CPS, WSIB (WCB in other Provinces) Policies, AMA Guides and Medical Journals, as well as our own extensive medical-legal library. The cost of maintaining those resources is absorbed by B&S Associates which translates into an immediate significant saving for the Local Union because the Union does not have to pay for those resources, ‘in house’. This allows Union dues to be directed towards other needs within the Union.

Our Advocates are able to case conference with other members of our group and with other union activists across the country to ensure that the most comprehensive strategies are used in all cases.
